Thanks for the clarification — I realize I absolutely hadn’t understood the initial request
I’m completely in favor of adding features related to electric vehicles to Gladys! This is a need that will clearly grow, and I think native support would make perfect sense in Gladys.
That said, a well-detailed feature request should be created, because as it stands I really hadn’t grasped the objective.
@Terdious, would you be willing to take the lead on defining this feature?
Since I don’t have a car, I’m not the best person to draw up the specifications, but I can gladly help with the implementation.
So even though I’m far from comfortable writing specs, I’m lucky to have a friend I code with on another (personal) project who just bought a Tesla Model 3 and we actually started a dev (Tessie) last week that requires a spec on this side beforehand. We’re meeting tomorrow so we’ll look into it!!
For info, I installed Home Assistant (HA) two weeks ago for solar monitoring (and to be able to start charging the Model Y and calibrate the charging current according to solar surplus). They have a module for solar management that is very well developed; if you haven’t seen it already, it would be great if we could have a call so I can show you — it’s disarmingly simple and we’d really like to see that kind of thing in Gladys!!
It doesn’t help anyone, but I’m excited too because next week I’m switching to electric (Hyundai), so if I can find some little things in Gladys that would be great!
