Hello. I am canaille17, an old nickname dating from my adolescence….
In real life, I am Christophe and I am 65 years old… (hello Christophe
)
Suburb of La Rochelle, the girls, the sun, oysters, the Île de Ré, all that. Still semi-active, I work for myself from home.
I do maintenance on medical hardware and software (doctors and dentists, to simplify).
I started by buying an Echo Show 10 to discover what “home automation” could bring me. Then I added a small Nous box to test features not handled by Alexa.
Then out of curiosity and a desire to move everything to local, I installed an SSD in my Freebox Delta and ran Jellyfin, Gladys and Home Assistant on it to manage my shutters through Schneider/Wizer switches using Zigbee. And a few other things.
Then came the time to think about exactly what I wanted to do. Out of curiosity I also installed a Gladys and I preferred its presentation and concept. So I erased everything and installed Gladys alongside my Echo Show and now I’m at the stage of integrating the gadgets and other stuff into Gladys.
I have high hopes for this program. Like every beginner, I spend a large part of my time reading, trying to understand and testing. Since I discovered what AI can offer, I make a lot of use of it to help me. That’s it….
Have a good day everyone.
