Problem Detection Nut

Hello,

I have set up Nut for detecting the presence of my partner and me. Everything was working fine for at least a month, but for a few days now, my partner’s key fob is briefly detected and then goes back to « away » for several hours. Has anyone had a similar issue with their presence detection?

Several possible issues:

  • Bluetooth range issue? How far is your key fob from the Pi?
  • Bluetooth interference in your home that sometimes prevents the key fob from being detected / or objects blocking the passage of waves (which makes it go missing?)
  • Battery issue with the Nut, maybe the battery provided was already weak and you’re reaching the end of its life… if you have a multimeter, you can unscrew the nut, remove the battery, and test the battery voltage :slight_smile:

It’s unlikely for the first two points as there must be a maximum of 2m between the Pi and the Nuts, which are actually stored in the same place.
For the battery, I just checked on the app and the keychain that is randomly detected is at 50% battery level, compared to 90% for the one that works well. I will replace the battery and I’ll let you know :slight_smile:
