Hello everyone,
my housing projects are changing a bit at the moment after various setbacks regarding the purchase of a house. Therefore, the question of construction is strongly raised. And there I see FULL of possibilities in terms of home automation since it would start from a blank sheet.
However, I am a complete beginner, I have understood that the most complicated thing is to make different communication technologies/protocols coexist and that Glqdys allows (and will allow) to manage more and more of these protocols.
My question is the following: if I build my house, what specifications should I follow in order to make the building « domotic-ready »?
By this I mean:
-
which cables should arrive in the sockets/switches? I have read some vague things about neutral/phase wires… but I don’t know anything about it.
-
interest of RJ45 on a larger or smaller scale in the house? Does wireless technology allow to do without ducts and cables effectively?
-
should I try to use the same protocol (z-wave or other) for all the devices in the whole house? Because it seems simpler to me, or is it impossible?
-
has anyone on the forum already built taking the lead in terms of home automation?
I think I have pleinnnnnnn of other questions, but these are the ones that are bothering me at the moment.
Thanks for your possible feedback!!
