I just spent a lot of time searching the forum to find out how to do this and I know it’s possible with Gladys Plus, but it’s too late in my case.
I had to set my development aside for a while and when restarting my Raspberry Pi (RPI) it was very slow and Gladys wouldn’t start.
The diagnosis is clear: bad sectors on the SD card. It’s impossible to create an image.
So I used an SSD with the latest image I had made, which, as you might expect, isn’t very recent.
It works, but a lot is missing.
I connected the SD card via USB to recover the files I was interested in.
I recovered Node-RED and MQTT devices but not the scenes and dashboards. For the latter it’s no big deal—fairly quick to recreate—but the scenes are another story.
Also, I have many recordings from different electricity meters that I’d like to use to refine my development.
Is there a solution? Given the amount of work, I’m almost ready to give up.
