I had repeatedly noticed scenes failing to trigger and this morning I encountered the problem with a heating scene. Every morning I have two distinct ones scheduled and today the first one didn’t trigger. The graph below illustrates it well.
I didn’t change any settings and the thermostatic head did not receive the information.
I still have this issue intermittently. I don’t know where it’s coming from: it can work fine for days, even weeks, then a radiator gets stuck in frost-protection or comfort mode for two days in a row after a restart.
Hello, I’m doing exactly the same thing: a radiator that should turn on based on a thermometer’s setpoint. On my side, the radiator didn’t turn off, so it’s 27 degrees in the cabin — watch out for the bill.
Like you, it works for a while, and one day it messes up. I monitor it every day. I had thought about creating a scene that queries the plug to see if it’s actually off or on, but that would create a lot of scenes.
I’m mitigating the problem by adding more repeater plugs (we’ll see). Zigbee is good, but I still find it a bit fragile: interference, distance, weather, etc.
