I came across this on Amazon by chance — can someone explain what it’s
There is Alexa integration via Gladys Plus.
There is documentation for this integration on the Gladys website.
I had seen it, but it’s the Amazon link; I was wondering what it’s for… I assume it’s necessary to get the Alexa integration started in Gladys Plus but that it’s internal and automatic… since I didn’t see any link to that in the documentation…
Hi @cce66,
I confirm that it’s related to @pierre-gilles’s work on integrating Gladys into Alexa (which is owned by Amazon).
I don’t use Alexa, but I think you should be able, as a user, to add this « skill » to connect your home automation to the assistant.
As such, I don’t think it’s necessary to include this link in the documentation, because the process is rather automatic on the Alexa side.
But I could be mistaken, since I don’t use this integration.
Actually, since I’m currently writing an article about Gladys Assistant on Wikipedia and it asks for references, I searched the web and came across it by chance, so I thought, what is a « Gladys Assistant » skill doing on Amazon? I made the connection afterwards… afterwards, indeed there’s no need for a link in the doc ![]()
But sometimes you come across gems… ![]()
