UX/UI: Add "Back" button to scenes (mobile and desktop)

Change of category of my post Configuration \u003e Feature request

When a tag has been set to filter scenes, it appears in the URL.
Then you go into a scene and want to go back to edit another scene:
On desktop :

  • if I click on Scènes, I go back to the scenes page WITHOUT the tag
  • if I click on Back in my browser, I find the scenes page WITH the tag.

On mobile on Safari (iOS in my case) :

  • if I click on Scènes, I go back to the scenes page WITHOUT the tag
  • if I click on Back, I find the scenes page WITH the tag.

On mobile in full screen :

  • if I click on Scènes, I go back to the scenes page WITHOUT the tag
  • impossible to do a Back because there are no navigation arrows and so the tags are lost every time :frowning:

And I just saw that a feature request already exists and that this Back button was added in MQTT for example : Ajout de bouton "retour" dans les intégrations

Uh, according to the screenshot, it seems that the back button exists in the scenes but I have nothing at all on my side, is that normal? (Firefox, macOS 11.7)

On mobile, you can swipe from left to right to go back :slight_smile: (from the edge of the screen)

Can you confirm that it works? It’s a pretty standard behavior

Edit: I just checked on iOS :

I confirm that it works on Android as well.

My mistake, it works as a method … I never paid attention to that thing … and yet I’ve had an iPhone for ages :frowning:

If it can console you, I learned that this gesture existed a few weeks ago already, with the help of Pierre-Gilles, and like you I’ve been on iPhone for a long time!!

Well, for those who don’t know, a small Retour button could make the UX even better.

Indeed, if two of you already don’t know this gesture, you can’t be the only ones. Adding a back button is still a good idea!

I was lazy and only changed the category, is that OK with you @pierre-gilles?
