Zigbee2MQTT valve - Missing a parameter

Hello,

I found this smart valve:

which I was able to obtain via Domadoo:
https://www.domadoo.fr/fr/peripheriques/5886-saswell-electrovanne-et-programmateur-d-arrosage-connecte-zigbee-mesure-de-consommation.html

The problem is that the water consumption doesn’t show up in Gladys once the device is added:

Do you have any idea how to resolve this issue?

Two possibilities: either Glady doesn’t have the feature, or the component used (Zigbee2Mqtt) doesn’t yet support your valve.

Do you know how to access Gladys’s logs?

We don’t have a mapping for consumption yet, I’ll take a look this week to add the sensor.

Ah yes, good catch… I stupidly thought that if the information reported by the device was listed on the Zigbee2MQTT compatibility site, Gladys would automatically take it into account

Yes, except for a few details

@Mastho if you want to give your opinion on the design

That’s perfect! Thanks!

@Mastho

Can you tell us more about how the valve works?

The timer_state has 3 possible values => disabled, active, enabled. I don’t really see the difference between active and enabled.

In the Z2M interface can you take a screenshot of the expose tab?

Hi @VonOx,

Not having the gateway to use it through its app, I don’t have much info on how it works.
I read the little documentation I could find online and the device has a timer function but it doesn’t explain the difference between these values.
Link to the manual:

When you talk about the ‹ expose › tab, are you referring to this?

Hi, no, I’m talking about zigbee2mqtt itself (port 8080)

The interface has actions; that will make things clearer

Here is the screenshot :

Hi @Mastho, are you able to test a Docker image to validate the dev?

Hi @VonOx,

I don’t have the test instance. I can try to install it.

@Mastho Keep me posted as soon as you’ve run the tests; if it’s complicated and you can’t manage it, let us know though

I’ll try to tackle that this weekend! :crossed_fingers:

Hi @Mastho, did you manage to test it in the end?

Hi @pierre-gilles,

No, sorry, I haven’t been able to get to it yet

On my end, the thermostatic valve head still shows « switch » on the dashboard, which isn’t very clear about its purpose.

That’s normal, it’s not the point of
