I plan to set up home automation for my mother’s house via my Raspberry Pi that is at my place.
I looked for a kind of Zigbee Wi-Fi gateway and found one from Tuya.
I’m encountering a blockage with Gladys, which, as far as I know, doesn’t recognize any Tuya sensors (Wi-Fi or Zigbee).
See Photo :
In principle it works; it’s Gladys that seems to be blocking.
Even through the Zigbee gateway, it doesn’t work.
There are also Wi-Fi temperature sensors, but they are not recognized by Gladys either.
See 1st image.
Yes, so this still needs to be confirmed, but if it’s like Z2MQTT, the devs will need to add the unsupported devices to Gladys. And since Tuya has a whole bunch of sensors of every kind, there’s a lot of work hihihi.
I can’t help you any further; you’ll have to wait for a dev to confirm or verify what I said.
Indeed, for now these devices are not managed by Gladys; each device must be added manually.
Historically it was @Lokkye who developed this integration, but he hasn’t been active in recent months.
Besides, it doesn’t look very complicated to add these devices; we can indeed take inspiration from the PRs made on the Gladys GitHub, for example:
@Kalvin If you want to help us and add these devices to Gladys, we’d be happy! I can help you set up your development environment if you run into any problems.
We have a tutorial that explains how to get started:
It contains everything: installation tutorial for Windows/macOS/Linux.
I can also help, either via messages on the forum or by having a call if you prefer to discuss it.
