Feature description
I suggest adding one or more places in the scenes to be able to write descriptions, notes, etc.
At the beginning of the scene or at each step (optionally).
For example, in one of the scenes I base myself on my temperature sensor. However, depending on its position in my room (close to the ceiling or the floor) the temperature is more or less high and I have to compensate for it in my scenes.
Of course, after a few days, I forget why I chose this temperature
Iâm in the same situation as @lmilcent, with somewhat complex scenes whose logic I donât quite remember when I have to modify them several weeks after their creation.
I think it would be enough to have a « comment » area in the title bar of each step of the scene, so we can comment it like a developer does in their code
(And I was going to create a new feature request, but Discourse suggested digging up that one thatâs almost 4 years old
)
Is the description sufficient?
Not really, @cicoub13. I could indeed write the explanations of the key steps of my scene there, but those would be a bit âč technical âș (interesting for the scene developer that I am) whereas this description is meant for display in the scene list, to help scene users (me, and my wife too) understand the overall effect of the scene.
I remember opening this feature request, but I thought I had closed it!
On my end, the comment field addresses it perfectly.
Okay, well Iâm willing to endorse this feature request, for the reasons described in replies to cicoub13
As such, this request is still relevant if we base it on your need and what I had written.
In my case, the overall description is sufficient for me, but I understand what you mean. Weâll see whether it becomes a priority for upcoming developments and whether we want an extra « comment » block or an additional button in the interface.
In the end @StephaneB I found an alternative that works well for me.

This request is too messy, the title talks about the description but the content of the discussion talks about something else. Itâs hard to follow ^^
A feature request must be identifiable by its title and only its title
For everyone involved in this request:
Iâm closing this thread, but if you feel you need other things, Iâm open to other, clearer requests
