Connecting non-Zigbee PROFALUX shutters

Hello,

I am looking for a solution to connect my PROFALUX Visio Solaires Monobloc shutters. They are controlled via battery-powered radio remote controls (PROFALUX V1.4).

Today the only solution that has been suggested to me is to go through the Calyps’home Hub and its dongle to convert the radio signal to Zigbee, but that requires an investment of 500€!

I already have an Aqara M2 Hub and I wanted to know if there is a cheaper alternative.

Thank you for your time and your help.

Have a nice day.

Is there a wired control (switch) on your shutters? Or just the remote controls?

Indeed, they are just remote controls for this model of roller shutter (Visio - Visio Solaire - Profalux Profalux)

The problem is that it’s a proprietary 868 MHz radio protocol with rolling code

It’s possible to bypass the remote’s buttons and connect them to a Zigbee module with two dry-contact relays like this!

This micro-module should work

First of all, thank you for this very precise answer.

It so happens that I have the remote control that you show in the photo (which is in addition to the individual remotes).

Does this modification require a soldering iron or any specific equipment (other than the micromodule)?

yes but you can find them as a kit for 15 bucks on amachone with soldering, for the wire you just have to take an RJ45 patch cable and strip it

Hello,

Otherwise there is this: DEVMEL | Français
I managed to integrate one of my Profalux shutters with M4G remotes.
I haven’t yet taken the time to try to integrate it into Gladys via Node-Red.
Also I don’t have percentage control :frowning: But maybe there’s a hack ^^

See if your shutters are compatible

Thanks a lot. Could I impose on your kindness and ask you for the link to that kind of equipment?

You can use ‹ tu › with me :slight_smile

My request was directed to cce66. I would like to try to connect my remote control the way he demonstrates it (cheaper system).

But thanks for your help.

Indeed, according to the comments it could do the job (but with the Duo)
And there are additional APIs!

This small box, very easy to hook up — a power supply and an Ethernet cable — then you just need to pair all the compatible home-automation products. For me it was mainly Profalux Visio-model shutters that work with a radio protocol specific to Profalux; integration without issues. Paired with Jeedom, my Airsend Duo allows me to use my scenarios to control my 9 shutters as I wish; the rest of my home automation could be managed by this same box but that would be redundant. Thank you Airsend for this welcome work! The app interface still needs improvement for better usability, especially at the integration level!

Thank you both.

To summarize, could I connect the signal from my remote controls to this box the way you could with a Zigbee hub?

And then, for the next step, do I connect my Airsend Duo to my Aqara M2 to integrate it into the home’s overall automation system?

No, you will not be able to connect Airsend Duo to Aqara M2.
Airsend Duo connects to your shutters using 868 MHz.
Then Airsend Duo, which will be connected to your local network via WiFi or cable, will be able to communicate with the rest of your home automation. (You need to have a plugin/connector on your home automation system to communicate with the Airsend Duo)

For the moment there is no native Plugin/Connector for Airsend Duo on Gladys, but with Node-Red connected to Gladys there might be a way to communicate with the Airsend Duo API

I hope that’s clearer for you now

Actually the Airsend Duo unit serves as a « universal remote » (operating on both 433 and 868 MHz frequencies (hence the Duo) with a dedicated app on your smartphone that lets you control your shutters as you would with your

Hello and thanks again to you.

I am new to home automation. My need was to integrate the control of those famous solar shutters into a home automation app like Home or to expose it to my Aqara M2. I’m having trouble seeing the overall schematic of all this and the end goal. It may be too complicated for a beginner like me

I only know the solution I explained to you above with @cce66. You need to see whether there is a solution that can interface your shutters with your aqara M2 over Zigbee, but it doesn’t seem to me that such a solution exists

Very well.

Thanks anyway, I’ll look into it.

Have a good day and all the best.

Hello cce66,
From the photo you opened the Noe remote… I’ve been trying to open mine for a while to try to repair it, but no luck.
Once the screw is removed what’s the trick? Sliding, pulling, inserting a plastic tool between the two halves — nothing works.
Where are the retaining clips?
Thanks in advance,
