Solar roller shutters with RF?

Hello,

I currently have wired roller shutters on which I replaced the switch with a Zigbee model.

I’m going to have new solar-powered shutters installed (elsewhere) and I wanted to know if, in your opinion, Zigbee wouldn’t drain the batteries and if it’s compatible?

Do you have similar installations?

Thanks

I just spoke with the seller and one thing I hadn’t understood is that the shutters don’t have a switch, they’re RF (radio frequency).

So, is there a way to communicate via RF with shutters?

Hi @Hizo, which part are you talking about? (If you can include a link it will help us tell you if it’s compatible with Gladys)

A priori it would be this type: Les demos d'Estelle - Eveno Fermetures

Is there a wired input that would allow using a Zigbee micro-module?

This kind of module:

Is there any way to handle RF from my mini PC (are there USB dongles that do that

No, no wiring, there’s no electrical supply because the shutter has a 12V solar battery.
If I want to do it as usual, that means bringing a dedicated circuit for each shutter (the new regulations even for renovations…)

Ok, so in my opinion this shutter can’t be controlled via home automation ^^

Yeah, I’ll have to struggle to bring some thread… :frowning:

thanks

Hello,
according to the documentation on your website, the shutters are controlled by « ZuniR solaire » (ZuniR solar), is that right?
because I saw that some shutters (yours?) can be controlled via Zigbee, via IO homecontrol (Somfy & co.).
Your ZuniR units seem compatible with Tahoma via a dongle: https://eveno-fermetures.com

Thanks for all that information

Yeah, that dongle is pricey…

I’m not going to approve the quote, I’ll look into a wired version even if it means having to run cable…

I know it’s the ‹ competition › but there’s an interesting discussion about this:

Surely some ideas to pick up…
