Connecting a WIFI module like ESP 8266 or 32 to Gladys

After researching, I cannot find a way to connect a WIFI module directly (as in previous versions of Gladys, I believe?). Is MQTT the only way to communicate?

If an MQTT server is required, where will it be hosted, or can we bypass it?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

If you are sure about the custom ESP side, the simplest is MQTT.

Otherwise, Tasmota, which benefits from a dedicated integration in Gladys.

When there will be a management of authentication tokens, you will be able to do Wi-Fi directly.

Thank you VonOX,
Indeed, custom, roller shutter motor control with information feedback, autonomous operation on RTC clock, automatic RTC time setting via the internet, weather, etc…
Everything works with a concurrent program in a server but which causes me problems.
Not yet comfortable in the world of MQTT but I have already seen an article about Tasmota!
Would you have one or more example links for my training.

Thank you.

The Tasmota documentation details the blinds/shutters section

Tasmota is somewhat an « OS » for esp

Thank you very much, I will check the link.
Have a good day.
