Gladys Assistant 4.61: Switch to Zigbee2mqtt 2.4.0

By any chance you might have a backup if you clicked on « Request a Z2M backup »

However, I don’t know

Ok I save it and then how do we reintegrate it?
Thanks BJM

Then you need to click on download_z2m_backup to download it to your computer
But I don’t know how to reinstall it.
I was just checking to see if by any chance you had already done this before losing all your sensors, in which case it would be worth looking into how to reintegrate them.

Okay, I’ve extracted the archive; it contains the entire z2m directory.
I suppose you have to copy it manually, and doing it over ssh from one computer to another is « a pain » and I’ve been on Linux for 17 years.

Ok, thanks for the details!

In your case, I think you should retry the migration, but monitor the Zigbee2mqtt logs. Then, depending on the logs, either it’s a configuration issue to fix, or it’s a bug to report to Zigbee2mqtt on their community

If you need help, we can always call and look at it together.

We keep 10 MB of logs, which is already fairly long, but the problem is that if the container is removed, Docker deletes the logs. Which I think is what’s happening in your case

Yeah that’s what I thought, so I don’t have the logs anymore ^^’ I’ll try the migration again tomorrow morning. Do you have any ideas on how to do it « properly ».
I have Portainer just in case ^^’
Otherwise should

You can set the log lines to 1000 before stopping and recreating, that way you’ll be able to download the complete logs.

However, you need to keep the old z2m directory with all the files inside, otherwise the migration won’t work.

Which version of Gladys are you on? I didn’t understand whether you had rolled back to the old version of Gladys or the old version of Zigbee2mqtt!

Gladys is on the latest version; I just reverted z2m to 1.42.

Ok, well, in that case, just do the reverse operation and keep an eye on the logs

I’ll take care of it tomorrow — it’s my eldest’s birthday this weekend, so I can’t watch ^^

:fog: Support for fine particulate sensors (PM2.5) via Matter

Gladys now supports PM2.5 sensors via the Matter protocol, allowing improved detection of air quality in your connected home.

Hello, I don’t know if this is due to the update but I can no longer pair any new Zigbee modules.
I’m trying to pair 2 new IKEA door sensors and it’s impossible. I already have one that works properly.
I also noticed that when I enable « Allow pairing », it does enable but it’s impossible to disable unless I refresh the browser page — in that case it disables automatically.

I confirm that this no longer works. I also saw this issue 5 minutes ago while trying to pair a new sensor.
However, you can still force the authorization directly in the zigbee2mqtt interface

Thanks for the feedback @Yoann_PUREN, I created a Git

Indeed I can reproduce the association bug, I just fixed that in this PR :

The payload has changed, now you have to send a timeout in seconds and no longer just « true/false »

This has been fixed in Gladys Assistant v4.61.1:

Thanks @Yoann_PUREN for the feedback!
