Gladys unavailable after reboot

Hello @pierre-gilles

It’s surprising if nothing is stored in the DB. That would mean something is stored in a flat file?
However, in the log, the first error that appears is the MQTT one… (I just checked the first post to verify)

My DB backups are about 180 KB, is this a normal size? Of course, it depends on the database. But if we’re around 2 MB for others, that could explain the issue with the second DB. I let the process run for a long time (3 or 4 hours)

No problem for a call. Do you need me to be at home with access to the instance or not?

No, this would mean that the error you mentioned earlier is no longer current. In my opinion, you saw an error in the logs that was not the error responsible for the crash, or that is not responsible for the crashes you are experiencing.

We must not forget that we are in beta, we are working very, very quickly to move to RC, and there are several updates to Gladys per week or even per day on some days ^^ We will take a slower pace when we are out of beta with probably « pre-prod » releases to have more testing before the releases, but that is not the case currently, we are in beta.

So you may have encountered several different bugs

3 or 4 hours??? No, that’s not normal  The restoration takes 1-2 seconds max.

Yes, at home with access to the instance is better! You should ideally share your screen with me and show me what you are doing.

Since the bug, I haven’t been able to do anything

Tell me which tool you want me to use to share my screen (I’m on Linux), but today, apart from a PuTTY, I don’t have anything to show you…

A simple call with Google Meet

What are your availabilities in the coming days? I am available today, tomorrow, or Friday.

It works, 6:00 PM tomorrow, is that okay with you?

Could you do around 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM? If not, 6:00 PM is fine too, but I prefer earlier

17:30 works for me

Perfect, I’ve sent you a Google Meet invitation for tomorrow at 5:30 PM French time

You have a Google Meet link in the invitation, don’t hesitate to test it beforehand to make sure everything works with Google Meet (microphone, screen sharing), it avoids wasting time stupidly.

See you tomorrow!

Thank you @pierre-gilles for this call and for resolving the issue which came from my side and not from Gladys.

My restore key was not correct and was causing the restore to crash, I just had no feedback in the UI.

I’m starting a new clean and updated instance
