External integration - Frisquet Connect

cover-frisquet

Hi everyone!

We’re starting a small series on the « French-style home », and we begin with the part we never look at as long as it works: the boiler. Frisquet boilers are everywhere in our homes, and with the Frisquet Connect box, they can now be controlled from Gladys. @Philippe44, you asked for it in Chaudière Frisquet I know your boiler wasn’t compatible with the Connect box, so I can’t promise anything, but I wanted to let you know ^^

What it does

  • One device per heating zone (up to three zones):
    • the room temperature and the current setpoint;
    • the comfort, reduced, and frost protection setpoints, adjustable in half-degree increments;
    • the mode: program, comfort, reduced, or frost protection;
    • the current override, the boost if the zone offers it, and a clear phrase like « Comfort (program) ».
  • The boiler:
    • the outdoor temperature (if the sensor is there);
    • the hot water: on/off and mode (MAX, Eco, Scheduled Eco, Eco+…);
    • the alarms, vacation mode, standby;
    • the gas consumed this month and this year, heating and hot water separated.
  • A widget to switch with one gesture to program, comfort, reduced, or override. No frost protection button in the widget: a sliding finger should not turn off the heating.
  • Scene actions for heating mode and hot water, and a trigger when the boiler displays a new alarm.
  • In French, English, German, and Spanish.

The nice thing

The alarm goes to away → heating in frost protection and hot water off; on return, program and hot water restored
The phone comes home earlier on a Tuesday → comfort in the living room until the next program change
The boiler displays an alarm → Telegram message with the code, to call the heating engineer before getting cold

Installation

:warning: Gladys 5.2 minimum.

It will arrive in the store at the next indexer run. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with GitHub - guim31/gladys-frisquet: Frisquet Connect boilers (zones, setpoints, hot water) for Gladys Assistant · GitHub

  1. You need a Frisquet boiler with the Frisquet Connect box, and an account in the Frisquet Connect app.
  2. In Gladys: the email and password from the app, then Test the connection.
  3. Discovery tab: add the boiler and the zones.

Honest small reservations

  • Everything goes through the Frisquet cloud, and the box relays the boiler only every few minutes: a change takes a few minutes to arrive.
  • The vacation mode is read-only, and the weekly programming is followed but still modified in the app.
  • Changing the setpoint from Gladys permanently changes the one of the current mode, like in the app (not a temporary override).
  • On a multi-zone installation, I don’t know yet if the override applies to zone 1 or to all.
  • The gas is the one Frisquet calculates, month by month. It does not enter Gladys’ energy tracking, which would otherwise count it as electricity.
  • Developed without the boiler. I checked from my place that the connection to the real Frisquet cloud goes all the way and properly rejects a fake account, but no one has used it with a real account yet: if you have a Frisquet Connect box, your feedback interests me a lot. Some commands come from the Home Assistant and homebridge projects, which have not all validated them on a real boiler.

Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Frisquet.
