External integration - Sensibo

Hi everyone!

Sensibo boxes make any air conditioner or air-to-air heat pump with an infrared remote control smart. Here is Sensibo for Gladys, via the official API.

What it does

  • One device per Sensibo (Sky, Air, Air Pro): on/off, mode, setpoint, fan, swing, Climate React, temperature, humidity, and CO₂ / VOC / PM2.5 depending on the model, filter life. Pure and Elements are also supported (on, filter, measurements).
  • Commands remain within the capabilities of your remote control: a missing mode is refused, a setpoint is brought back to possible values.
  • A widget « Sensibo Clims »: status, mode, setpoint and room temperature, with On and Off buttons.
  • Triggers: Sensibo offline, back online, filter to clean. And actions: turn on in a mode at a temperature, turn off an air conditioner or all.

The cool part

Alarm activated → turn off all air conditioners
Bedroom above 27 °C in the afternoon → bedroom air conditioner on cold at 25 °C
Filter to clean → reminder message

Installation

Gladys 5.1 minimum.

It will arrive in the store at the next indexer run. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address GitHub - guim31/gladys-sensibo: Sensibo air conditioner controllers in Gladys Assistant · GitHub

  1. Create an API key on home.sensibo.com/me/api and paste it into the configuration.
  2. Test the connection, then add devices from the Discovery tab.

Honest small reservations: it’s cloud only (read every 2 minutes by default), infrared has no feedback (the displayed status is the last one sent), and schedules remain in the Sensibo app. It was developed without the hardware, based on real responses published by open source projects; only the refusal of a bad key was verified against the real API.

Coded with the help of Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Sensibo.
