Hello everyone!
This one is for our friends in Quebec: in Quebec, when you heat with electric baseboards, there’s a good chance that the thermostats are Sinopé. Everything goes through Neviweb, and it’s now in Gladys, with the added Eco-Sinopé (and Hydro-Quebec) peaks for scenes.
What it does
- Thermostats for baseboards, underfloor heating, and low voltage: temperature, setpoint to half a degree, mode, preset (Schedule, Comfort, Away, Frost Protection depending on the model), status, and heating power in %.
- Switches and dimmers: on/off and intensity.
- Load controllers (water heater, pool, charging station) and outlets: on/off and power. On a water heater, in addition, the water temperature and the leak sensor.
- Leak detectors: leak, battery, temperature.
- GT125 and GT130 gateways: online or not.
- Consumption per half-hour in the Gladys 5.2 energy dashboard (GT130 and Wi-Fi devices), well dated despite Neviweb’s two-hour delay.
- Two triggers « Start » and « End of an Eco-Sinopé Peak », and an action « Home / Away Mode on Neviweb ».
- A « Sinopé Thermostats » widget: all the thermostats in the house, a banner when a peak is in progress, and the Home / Away buttons.
- In French, English, German, and Spanish.
The cool part
Start of an Eco-Sinopé Peak → we turn off the pool and warn the household; end of the peak → we turn it back on
Everyone leaves → Neviweb in Away mode; the first one to come back → Home mode
A detector sees water → alert and water heater turned off
Installation
Gladys 5.2 minimum.
It will arrive in the store at the next indexer run. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with GitHub - guim31/gladys-sinope: Sinopé Neviweb thermostats, dimmers and load controllers for Gladys Assistant · GitHub
- Enter the email and password of your Neviweb account. You can also limit reading to certain locations (« House, Cabin »).
- Click on Test Neviweb Connection: your locations and devices are displayed.
- Discovery tab: add the desired devices. Only those are read.
Honest small reservations
- Cloud only: a change can take up to 5 minutes to appear in Gladys. The integration limits itself to stay under Neviweb’s request ceiling.
- The « off » mode of a thermostat really turns off the heating: in the middle of winter, prefer Away or Frost Protection for an unoccupied room.
- Fine settings (backlight, timers, away setpoint…) remain in the Neviweb app.
- No heat pumps, heating-cooling thermostats, or Sedna valves yet.
- Your Sinopé devices paired directly to Zigbee2MQTT are not concerned: they already work in Gladys without Neviweb.
- Developed without a Sinopé device. I checked from my place that the connection to the real Neviweb goes as far as the proper refusal of a fake account, but it has never read a real account: if you have one, I am very open to feedback.
Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Sinopé Technologies.
