Hello everyone!
I present to you FordPass, a new external integration that brings your Ford vehicles into Gladys thanks to FordPass connected services.
What it brings
- One device per vehicle, adapted to its engine type (petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric). You can find the mileage, fuel level and range, battery charge and range, charging in progress and connected plug. It also includes the 12 V battery, locking, alarm, open doors and windows, oil life, outdoor temperature and tire pressure.
- Commands: lock/unlock, remote start, start/stop charging.
- 5 scene triggers: low fuel or battery (adjustable threshold), alarm triggered, tire pressure alert, charging completed, ignition on or off.
- 2 scene actions: send a command (with its result to chain) and read the vehicle status (levels, range, locking, position…).
- 2 widgets: one vehicle (live gauges, full status, buttons, link to the map) and the list of all your vehicles.
- Cloud integration, in French, English, German and Spanish.
Example: every night at 10 p.m. → read the car status → if it is not locked → lock it and send me a notification.
Installation (Gladys 5.1 or newer): Integrations → FordPass → Install. The connection is made once, on the official Ford page, and your password never goes through Gladys. Choose your region, click on Connect and log in. Then copy the address fordapp://userauthorized/?code=… from the browser’s developer tools, and paste it into the Finish connection action. The documentation details each step. Regions: France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, rest of Europe, United States, Canada.
To know
- Ford does not offer a public API: the integration uses the FordPass app servers, which Ford can evolve without notice. I will follow the changes.
- Reading data never wakes up the car. Only the « Refresh » action does, limited to 24 per day to preserve the 12 V battery.
- Commands take 10 to 60 seconds to reach the car.
