Integration Saunier Duval / Vaillant

Hello,

Would it be possible to create a feature that adds compatibility for Saunier Duval connected boilers.

It should be noted that the API that would allow creating this new feature is only accessible to companies. @pierre-gilles, would it be possible for this development to be carried out under Gladys’ legal entity?

API access form:
https://developer.vaillant-group.com/application

If there’s demand, absolutely

I’m taking the liberty of digging up this thread because I’m interested too. Is it still feasible? I can take care of the development if needed.

Hi @Aymeric.info :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, it’s still doable and I’d be happy to if you want to take care of the development!

While digging around on the internet, I saw that there are already some open-source modules based on this API. So, I’m wondering whether a legal structure like a company is really necessary to access it.

Don’t hesitate to ask if you need a hand or advice to get started!

I’ll look into all that as soon as I have a bit of time ;).
I’ll let you know.

It is with great disappointment that I won’t be able to take care of the development. I thought the thermostat on my boiler could be connected to Wi‑Fi, but in the end it only uses radio. And I don’t want to spend 200 bucks to buy the MiLink connectivity gateway.

Could a Matterbridge plugin be a good candidate for this integration?

Hi Pierre-Gilles,

Still interested in this integration. I haven’t invested in Matter yet, but this would be the perfect opportunity to get started and test the plugin factory

Not much time at the moment, I’ll update this topic as soon as possible.

Hi @pierre-gilles,

I just created a ticket for the service creation. I’m all ears if adjustments are needed.

I’m closely monitoring to start the tests, my Gladys instance is ready

Awesome, the service will be here tomorrow morning

So @PhilippeMA, did it work well?

Hello @pierre-gilles,

I ran a first series of tests yesterday. Already a great result because the module manages to connect to the API with the identification of my boiler.

Not all features have been created yet, and for now, those that have been created don’t work. I provided the elements for corrections, and one correction has been made; I’ll get back to it tonight

The first contact is excellent!

Excellent, I’m sure we’ll achieve a fully functional end-to-end integration
