Gladys integrations move to Gladys 5.2 🎉

Hello everyone,

New series of updates for 5 integrations: MELCloud, SMTP, OpenWeather, Telegram and CallMeBot. They move to the external integrations SDK in 0.15.0 and I took the opportunity to add a few new features.

:warning: Some require a minimum version of Gladys (indicated under each integration). Remember to update Gladys first.

MELCloud (v1.1.0)

  • All air conditioning modes: Auto, Cold, Hot, Dehumidification and Ventilation. Only the modes your unit can do are offered (an air conditioner that only does cold no longer displays a « Hot Â» button).
  • Temperature setpoint at the right step: the setpoint advances by 0.5 °C or 1 °C, depending on what the unit accepts.
  • The widget corrects itself: if MELCloud refuses or ignores a command, the widget returns to the true value at the next reading.
  • The integration no longer sends to Gladys more than the values that change, with a complete refresh every 30 minutes.
  • Gladys 4.86 required.

SMTP (v1.1.0)

  • New scene action « Send an email Â»: recipients (up to 10), optional subject (otherwise the first line of the message is used as the subject) and message. Useful for receiving a report or an alert by email from a scene.
  • Gladys 5.1 required.

OpenWeather (v1.1.0)

  • New weather conditions: freezing rain, sand/dust storm and tornado :tornado: are now recognized, instead of being classified under « sleet Â», « fog Â» or « wind Â».
  • Gladys 5.0 required.

Telegram (v1.1.1)

  • Guide « Create your Telegram bot Â» in the configuration: the steps with @BotFather, then the linking of your account, with the useful links. No more back and forth with the documentation.

CallMeBot (v1.0.2)

  • SDK update to 0.15.0 and internal cleanup. Nothing changes for you.

Good to know

  • MELCloud: for air conditioners already added, the list of modes changes. Go through the integration discovery screen once and click on « Update Â» to see the new modes.

As usual, don’t hesitate to report your feedback here, with a screenshot/logs if possible :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks @bertrandda for the reviews

Just a quick question about your MELCloud integration, do you have the same features as MELCloud Home (which I use because my account was created with it)?
I know that you can only have one or the other, but I think it would be ideal to have the same commands, etc.

There are differences. I’ll see if I can fill them :eyes:

Funny, Claude calls air-to-air PACs air conditioners.

Actually, MELCloud uses the « old Â» APIs and MELCloud Home the new ones. But you can control the same PACs, not at the same time of course because if you have declared on one of the APIs, you cannot have the second one in parallel: you need to remove your devices from one of the accounts to be able to associate them with the other.
