On smartphones, disabled scenes can be executed if you tap the icon on the right.
It seems to me that the normal behavior should be that only enabled scenes can be launched quickly.
I don’t agree with you, @bjm. I have some scenes with triggers that I sometimes disable, and I want to be able to run them ‹ manually ›.
Except that a finger that unfortunately slips where it shouldn’t and a disabled scene — therefore one that shouldn’t have been triggered — still triggers ( that’s what happened to me ) and it seems to me that it’s impossible to stop a scene once it’s launched.
In principle, I find it handy to be able to run a scene in test mode, whether it’s active or not.. It’s even very useful sometimes before starting the machine.
But logically, if you run it manually, it should be able to run automatically without it being detrimental.
I’m still sticking to my first idea while being careful not to trigger it accidentally. That hasn’t happened to me
I understand the situation you’re describing @bjm. I think @tiboys’s suggestion would be a good one: A message that would say, for example, « This scene is disabled. Do you confirm its manual activation? »
Hi @bjm and thanks for your feedback ![]()
I’ve moved your post into a specific topic.
I don’t agree either.
That’s precisely the point of those disabled scenes: to be able to launch them manually.
However, we can improve this view to prevent errors.
Let’s see what can be done (move the button? change its shape?) so that it’s at least not in the path of the thumb that scrolls
Not a fan of that solution — it complicates usage for everyone (it adds a step) to solve a UI problem.
Hello,
- 1 In the field of graphs it is interesting, even necessary, to compare values over a given period.
For example, the temperature of one hour compared to the previous one or a day’s electricity consumption compared to the previous day. Today, to compare, it is necessary to make a copy during the considered period.
1.2 In the field of graphs, I often have sensor bugs and to put them back into service I have to erase everything to integrate them again. In the end, I cannot keep the curves for an entire year. Would it be possible to save the values to re-inject them after re-integrating the sensor?
1.3 In the field of graphs the values are available for a maximum period of one year. In the list of equipment being integrated the unlimited duration is offered. What happens to the recorded values beyond one year? Would it be possible to have the curves over several years or at least the values in CSV so as to create a graph outside Gladys? (feature request Nov 2023)
Great idea! I’d welcome a feature request.
But for me this falls outside the scope of « UX improvements », it’s really the development of a new feature
But totally legitimate ![]()
Shouldn’t we try to find out why you’re having bugs? There’s clearly an underlying issue there…
I’ve had a fairly robust Gladys installation for a year, and I haven’t had any problems in that time… Please create a specific thread in Configuration with a clear explanation of your problem ![]()
They are still in Gladys, but you’re right — currently inaccessible to the user.
To my knowledge @Terdious was working on this topic but I haven’t had any news since. I’ll let them answer you ![]()

If you want to make suggestions, I invite you to create your own thread, or to create a feature request ![]()
This post is related to feedback from @bjm only
It’s not always that we make an accidental tap, but maybe place the button on the left given that the majority of people are right-handed.
I just re-tested on my phone, is this really a problem right now @bjm ?
For me, when I scroll my thumb ends up in the middle of the screen (I’m right-handed), I rarely scroll along the edge…
Same for me
Personally, I’m right-handed: I scroll with my left thumb on the side of the screen or with my right index finger.
So it’s really, really not something that’s going to keep me up at night, and since it seems I’m the only person this happened to, leave it as it is, don’t stress about it.
