Well, I just tried to set the door position to check if it’s open or closed and I can’t figure it out. Any ideas? ![]()
If you choose « Open (Yes-No) » in the category?
Hi @Husky14,
Thanks for the feedback! What your screenshot shows is a display bug that you found while trying to configure the sensor: the « Category » menu should not appear on the opening feature (it is used to reclassify a switch as a light). By manipulating and then saving, the category of the feature was erased, which is why the thumbnail no longer has a name or icon.
The fix is ready and will arrive in the next version ( Fix device edit page showing a broken category selector on binary sensors by Pierre-Gilles · Pull Request #2757 · GladysAssistant/Gladys · GitHub )
To get your device back on track right now:
1. Delete the « Garage Door » device in Gladys (Devices tab of the Zigbee2MQTT integration), no need to redo the Zigbee pairing;
2. Go to « Zigbee Discovery » and re-register it. The 3 features will be recreated correctly;
3. Until the update, do not touch the « Category » field on the opening sensor card.
Small note: this device does not report a percentage position. The « Opening (Yes/No) » sensor simply indicates Open or Closed (depending on the magnetic contact), and the « Switch » triggers the opening/closing. You can use the sensor status in your scenes and on your dashboard.
@Husky14 The fix is live in 4.84.3: Gladys Assistant 4.84.3 : Synology (vrai fix), 217 icônes domotique et télécommande TV
