New mini corridor project

Hello

I want to automate the lighting in my hallway with dimmable bulbs. I plan to install two motion sensors and a Zigbee button to control switching based on detections and schedules. I would also like the lamps’ brightness to vary according to the time of day (softer at night, stronger during the day). Currently, the setup is limited to three conventional bulbs and a basic detector. My goal is to modernize, make everything neater and automated, and I would like to know what hardware I can put in place to achieve this result.

The main question I have is whether I should install each bulb as dimmable independently, or whether I should manage the brightness variation for all the lamps at the same time.

Thank you

I found these products:

Hi @Prof_Techno

It is supported by Zigbee2MQTT (Z2M) with plenty of options, you should be able to play around with the brightness levels:

First assessment:

I started with two sensors placed at each end

For the hallway, I set up two distinct scenes. Since each lamp can be controlled individually, I was able to create two separate zones: a day side and a night side. This allows me to adjust when lights turn on and the brightness according to the detected zone, which makes the lighting more flexible and better suited to the needs.

I think it’s possible to further improve the system, but for now it suits me as it is. I’m open to any suggestions for improvement.
