Ability to close dashboard widgets

Ability to collapse dashboard widgets

Let me explain: I’m testing the Netatmo integration thanks to @Terdious and I noticed that if you put all the features into the widget, I can’t even display it fully on my page — I have to scroll.
That’s not the issue.

The thermostat will be used for about 4 to 5 months of the year. It would be useful to be able to close the widget, showing only its name, and open it when we use it.
I don’t know if that’s possible.

I think it’s largely doable using a collapse, but we need to see whether it fits with the UI’s consistency (I think it does) and, above all: what is the default behavior (open/closed) — how do we decide that a widget is collapsible? (Add an option when it’s created?)

Darn, I don’t have any votes left!
But I support the request

If we leave the choice, we need to make sure it doesn’t add too much configuration and turn into a configuration nightmare.

On average I have 3 to 5 lines per box, rarely 1 or 2 except for user presence. It would lighten the dashboards.

I hadn’t thought about the default behavior, because to me the user can choose to open or close it, or to leave it open or closed.
