Hello everyone,
I am a retired old dinosaur.
I started programming in assembly and I struggle to keep up with some of the new features.
I have several Raspberry Pi devices running Jeedom and Domoticz.
The protocols I use are Rfx433, ZWave, Bluetooth, and Xiaomi Zigbee.
I like Xiaomi hardware.
After installing Gladys, my thoughts are:
. User-friendly interface
. My Xiaomi components well recognized, Bluetooth too.
So far, so good.
What needs to be done to activate the Xiaomi Gateway, do I need to subscribe?
Best wishes to everyone.
Hello Michel
Welcome to you on the forum and to Gladys.
First of all, don’t confuse:
- Gladys gateway: paid (with other included services) for access to your controls from outside your home
- Xiaomi gateway: control of your Xiaomi devices.
For now, interaction (light, sounds) with the Xiaomi gateway is not yet developed, I’m working on it in a new module, it’s coming. ![]()
Hello Hamtaro,
Thank you very much for these details.
In what language is this module programmed?
Good luck with this development.
Like all of Gladys’ code and modules, in JavaScript.
Hello,
I would like to clarify:
If you have computer knowledge, you can certainly make Gladys accessible from the outside. You just need to be aware of the « risks » of opening access to a machine from the outside ![]()
Welcome to this project!
Boimb.
Hello Boimb,
Thanks for the info.
Indeed, I could do the same as for Jeedom and Domoticz that I consult from the outside with some settings on the Freebox.
The 6° @piznel, I don’t think so, it’s normal…
He’s probably talking about humidity ![]()
I’m around 70%.
@Boimb I was just setting up the gateways, I wasn’t going to go into details about other possibilities ![]()
Okay, I’ll keep an eye on it.
