Hello, I can’t add my eWeLink devices. Apparently, the cloud connection is working, as I have the corresponding message, I save, but when I try to discover: NOTHING!
I’ve done the operation several times and it doesn’t change anything.!!
Hello thipaire,
I don’t think I can help you, but for information, I had the same problem as you, I have 6 Sonoff Basic, which were not installing and yet I had the connection on the eWelink account. One day after testing with P’tit Nico, I saw a Sonoff installed and working, but not the other 5. In the end, I gave up. With other Sonoff that I bought, I switched to Tasmota (works quite well). Then recently on the version of Gladys 4.43 (I think), the Sonoff (eWelink) that was installed no longer worked (commanded by the dashboard), so I reinstalled Sonoff and there, miracle, they all installed. I switched to version 4.51 Gladys, (I started from scratch with Gladys and the SD). I therefore reinstalled Sonoff and again all the Sonoff were installed. I did nothing more than what I was doing when it was not working, and I am unable to say why it works now and not before. If you have any questions I can answer them. Have a nice day.
Thanks for your reply, especially since my problem description was short. It did contain the essentials, but I had been working on my setup for several hours: setting up the PI 4, installing Gladys on the micro SD, discovering Gladys, and getting stuck on the eWeLink module which couldn’t find the devices… In short, I wasn’t very « talkative ».
When you say « reinstall Sonoff », do you mean configuring eWeLink or reinstalling the eWeLink module in Gladys?
Are the devices found only those modified with Tasmota?
For my Sonoff devices, I have: 4CHPROR2, RFR2, and RFR3. I chose to always have both Wi-Fi and 433MHz, which allows me to use 433MHz switches if the computer system « crashes ».
Have a nice day
When I say install, I only redo the connection to the eWeLink account and the search for Sonoff devices in Gladys. I redo the Gladys pairing procedure.
The found devices are those on the eWeLink account.
Those programmed with Tasmota are in the Tasmota integration.
However, I only have Sonoff Basic R2 devices, and I have a Pi3, but the problem seems identical.
Ewelink is not reliable at the API and server level, sometimes there is a 10-second delay between pressing the button and the physical change.
Tasmota is much more performant as everything happens locally.
On the Gladys side, there isn’t much that can be done.
Thank you for your respective responses.
As for eWeLink, I have tried connecting and searching for Sonoff devices around twenty times, to no avail. I will try flashing a module with Tasmota to see if it works better and with the corresponding module. Nothing is really simple … ![]()
