That’s it — my RFlink is up and running again 
, I had simply omitted this line after restarting node_red:
sudo chown -R 1000:1000 /var/lib/node-red
and now it’s fine (@VonOx if you’re reading this, thanks again 
)
And icing on the cake, I didn’t need to roll back to version
