Backup of the zigbee2mqtt database

:scream:
Thinking back last night and re-reading the logs…
I forgot to delete the config files after removing the containers… :innocent:
My apologies!
I’ll retest as soon as possible!

Edit:
I have bad news…
The services reinstall and restart without error messages in the logs.
But the list of devices is emptied in the ZigBee interface so no control from Gladys…

Edit 2 :

@GBoulvin @cicoub13 I’m reposting here the message from @AlexTrovato on GitHub:

Yes indeed, I’m out of ideas, and not having the hardware stack on hand, blind development is running out of steam.

Thanks to the well-equipped developers for helping me

Can I give you access to my VPN, would that be useful?

@AlexTrovato At worst, if @pierre-gilles can make me a Gladys test account, I can set up a test instance; I have an extra Zigbee dongle and a Pi. That will avoid breaking production.
I can also open SSH access for you.

@VonOx no need for Gladys Plus, the test here is just to take a DB from an instance with Zigbee2mqtt configured, put this DB file on a fresh instance, and see if Zigbee2mqtt reconfigures itself on its own

Ok I thought you wanted to test the complete flow.

So would an instance with Zigbee accessible via SSH help you @AlexTrovato?

Hello @Tlse-vins
I’m trying to back up my zigbee2mqtt database using your tutorial and I’ve reached chapter 7, but I can’t run the command « cd /mnt/c/Users/patrick/Downloads/ ». At best I can get into the « mnt » folder, but that’s it. When I type « ls » to list the contents of the folder nothing appears. Can you help me get past this?
Thanks in advance

Hi @Psoy , are you on Windows with WSL?

Hello @_Will_71
yes that’s it

Ok so when you type ls /mnt/c you get nothing at all?

Can you give me the output of the command df -h?

Maybe your C isn’t mounted in /mnt.
There’s an issue for people where it’s mounted in /windir

I get this:

pi@gladys:/ $ ls /mnt/c
ls: cannot access '/mnt/c': No such file or directory

Tests ls /windir/c

I get this:

pi@gladys:/ $ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 118G 6.7G 106G 6% /
devtmpfs 325M 0 325M 0% /dev
tmpfs 455M 0 455M 0% /dev/shm
tmpfs 182M 1.3M 181M 1% /run
tmpfs 5.0M 4.0K 5.0M 1% /run/lock
/dev/sda1 253M 31M 222M 13% /boot
tmpfs 91M 8.0K 91M 1% /run/user/1000

I get this:

pi@gladys:/ $ ls /windir/c
ls: cannot access '/windir/c': No such file or directory

But there you’re in SSH on Gladys, not on your PC.
So it’s normal that in Gladys you won’t find your Windows folder.

What do I have to do on Ubuntu? I’m not good at this!!! :disappointed_relieved:, but it wasn’t mentioned in the tutorial and I had tried, but it wasn’t any better

on my PC I have this

psoy@Zalman:~$ ls /mnt/c
ls: cannot access '/mnt/c/DumpStack.log.tmp': Permission denied
ls: cannot access '/mnt/c/hiberfil.sys': Permission denied
ls: cannot access '/mnt/c/pagefile.sys': Permission denied
ls: cannot access '/mnt/c/swapfile.sys': Permission denied '$Recycle.Bin' DumpStack.log.tmp 'Program Files' 'System Volume Information' pagefile.sys '$SysReset' Intel 'Program Files (x86)' Users swapfile.sys '$WinREAgent' OneDriveTemp ProgramData Windows 'Documents and Settings' PerfLogs Recovery hiberfil.sys
