Use the Philips Hue Motion Sensor with Gladys

Hello!

I’m trying to set up Gladys at my home, and according to the Airtable list and Intégrations | Gladys Assistant, the Hue Motion Sensor doesn’t seem to be supported. Am I wrong? If not, would it be possible to add it? Thanks!

Hello @Christophe_LOCHON and welcome to Gladys!

Are you trying to add it via the Philips Hue integration or via the Zigbee2mqtt integration?

In my opinion, this device is only compatible with Gladys via the Zigbee2mqtt integration (Philips 9290030675 control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT), but I’m not sure that the Philips Hue integration can handle it, as I’m not sure if the library we use supports it…

Upon searching, indeed, apart from via Zigbee, the Hue bridge does not allow receiving an alert (via HTTP, MQTT, or otherwise) when a Hue sensor sends a value. Therefore, integration will never be possible via the Philips Hue integration, only via the Zigbee2mqtt integration

Hello @pierre-gilles! Thank you very much for your quick response. I will therefore consider buying a dongle to make it work. Congratulations again on the work, see you soon!
