Zigbee2mqtt: Error SYS - Ping after 6000ms on startup

Yes, I read it.
I’ve also done it with the 64-bit version.
You had this error: Error SYS ping after 6000 ms

Does it appear or? Because I have never seen it

In the logs of the gladys-z2m-zigbee2mqtt container.

I didn’t pay attention to it, sorry, but if I spot the Zigbee connection, I’ll check and keep you posted.

@Tlse-vins Is it still the same error?

What I would do in your place, I would try to go back to a very simple setup just to see if it works with a « basic » setup:

  • Raspberry Pi + micro-SD
  • Zigbee USB key plugged directly

No SSD, no USB hub for this test.

I would install Gladys from scratch via a clone of the Raspberry Pi OS image, re-downloaded from the website, and I would try to set up Zigbee2mqtt directly.

  • If it works with this setup, it means your Zigbee USB key is working fine, and there is no incompatibility with Zigbee2mqtt.

  • If it doesn’t work, it might be a key issue. Re-reading your original post, you recently re-flashed it, and if I understood correctly, you have never been able to get Z2M working since you re-flashed it.

Then, as soon as you have the result of this test, you know a bit more about where to go. You have to test little by little in computer science, that’s how we isolate the factors

Hello !!

For info, I had the same error with the Gladys 64-bit OS yesterday.

Unable to recover anything, same thing, it restarts in a loop. I had never had any issues before. I use it very little. Only one sensor on it.

I will try a complete reinstall to see.

Fresh install for zigbee2mqtt (reappairage) is mandatory

Exactly the same error?

That’s exactly what I did.
Now that I’ve solved my power problem, I wanted to do a clean installation tonight to test.

I’ll keep you posted.

I haven’t seen any improvement on my side.

  • New installation on SD
  • Zigbee USB key

No more power issues but no change, still the same message.
Before I reflashed the key, the problem was already present.

Yes, but maybe the original problem is fixed and the flash didn’t go well the last time. It’s worth trying again.

Yes exactly the same, but this happened after clicking on a search located in one of the tabs. I don’t have the name in mind right now but I’ll send it to you as soon as I find it.

Sorry @VonOx, didn’t understand ^^ is this for me?

Yes, you need to re-pair the Zigbee devices with the dongle when you start from scratch (even if you restore a Gladys backup).

Yes, we agree, that’s what I had in mind. After all, it’s less impactful for me, I only have one device on it.

But I’m going to go through the whole procedure on a new installation to see what might have happened… because it’s surprising on the 64-bit version

We agree.

I just reflashed it, I will test it tonight.
Do you press the pairing button when you connect the C2651R ZZh key?

I just activate pairing in the zigbee2mqtt interface.

And … it’s the same again!!
Same error.

Is that key visible? ls /dev

Or do you not have an old PC with Linux or something else to test on another physical machine? Just to see if your USB key is working properly or if it’s the Pi 3 that’s causing the problem
