Improvement of the Room Temperature and Humidity widgets

Default radiators offer a « frost protection » mode at 5°C.
So for a room temperature, it seems logical to set it from 5°C to 40°C (with some margin).

But

A personal or horeca freezer (or cold room) can go down to -25°C without problem.
-30°C seems more appropriate.
As for the max temperature… a hot water tank is 60°C-95°C…
So it all depends on the device

We have min/max values that are in the features, and I don’t think they’ve been used so far. It seems to me that they would play a big role here!! IMHO, the bar should take these values into account for the scales. The same will apply (maybe one day) to power sensors, etc.

I just changed the min and max values

I also added the °C in the editing and the conversion when displaying in °F

I don’t think so, first this widget is at the room level (and not the device).

These range values are more technical indications of the device’s capabilities, whereas here we’re more about UX (which values make sense or not).

Excellent

I just tested, however I can’t display the temperature in °F in the editor; it’s still in Celsius?

Yes, I had forgotten to commit the changes :frowning:
I based it on the user preferences

I did a quick test this morning, and it seems to be working perfectly

I’ll do a technical review for you tomorrow, and if everything’s good I’ll merge

It looks great!!

I’m good with the technical review, well done

It’s merged into master and it will be included in the next Gladys release!

Right now, all the rooms are red and my wife finds it anxiety-inducing  I’m going to raise the thresholds
