zigbee2mqtt network coordinator

Here is my Zigbee network with all my devices.
As you can see, there are quite a few!

  • On the right, I have 3 devices that are not connected to the coordinator, yet they were. The information does not always come back up in Gladys.
  • At the bottom, you can see the motion sensor I have in my bedroom connected to the LED strip I also have in my bedroom.

My questions are:
1 - How did my 3 devices get disconnected?
2 - How can I connect them to a device that is not the coordinator, like the motion detector?

To ultimately have something like this.

Answers:

1 - I don’t know, bad connection with the coordinator, or maybe they are too far away.
2 - You need to remove the device from the Zigbee2MQTT integration and from Gladys and then re-scan for devices.

Why: Sensors choose a route when they are paired, and then they never change. So, if you add new routers to the network, you need to re-pair the sensors in place to take advantage of a new, possibly better route.

Just enable device addition in Zigbee2MQTT and hold the button on the sensor.

Here is what it looks like; it needs to be refined to make it more functional.

With that number of devices, no wonder you want to make a backup of zigbee2mqtt and be able to reimport it afterwards.
If your system crashes, I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes to re-pair everything

I also have sensors that aren’t connected… but that work, so I don’t understand!

I also have devices that are all alone… without me knowing why.
But I think that soon I’ll start over a bit, in order to:

  • rename my devices as they are added (something I hadn’t done at the start)
  • allow the devices to find the nearest router, I have almost everything on the main coordinator, almost nothing on the other routers.

Thanks for the advice !!

In fact, at first they were questions without answers. But as I kept searching, I told myself that I couldn’t be the only one asking them.

I also have some orphans on the graph, but they’re online and reporting the info correctly.
