Sonoff dongle for Matter integration

Hello,

I currently have a dongle SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus ZBDongle-P which I use to pair all my Zigbee devices.

I would now like to pair my IKEA Matter devices, and I wanted to confirm whether I should either:

  1. buy an IKEA DIRIGERA gateway, for example
  2. flash my dongle with firmware that supports Matter
  3. buy another dongle SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus ZBDongle-E which supports Matter
  4. ???

As for Zigbee, if you have paired all your devices, then leave it as is. Do not try to flash your dongle because you will no longer have access to the Zigbee network.

Also, Matter is not a radio protocol but an application layer, unlike Zigbee or Thread, Wi‑Fi…
