Gladys Assistant 4.55: Even more power for your automations!

Hi everyone !!

Back from vacation, and to kick things off, I’m announcing the release of Gladys Assistant 4.55 :tada:

This update brings THE most requested feature on the forum for a while: a conditional block “If… Then… Else…” in scenes :fire:

A big thank you to @StephaneB for the mockups, @mutmut, @_Will_71 and @Hizo for their testing :folded_hands:

This update also adds the ability to send Gladys messages to WhatsApp and Signal, thanks to an integration with CallMeBot. :rocket:

Hi, I got the update around 11:00 AM. Since then quite a few of my scenes have been buggy, for example the devices no longer appear:

I can’t add or modify actions, and I can’t even leave this page.

Do you have more information to help me reproduce this?

Can you check your browser’s inspector (Right-click on the page → Inspect Element → Console)

Edit: I managed to reproduce it, it only affects the « launch a scene » action. I’ll fix that right away.

You can use WatchTower for that :slight_smile:

(If you usually run your Docker commands with sudo, put sudo before them)

docker run --rm \
    -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock \
    containrrr/watchtower \
    --run-once

I’m migrating all my scenes at home, and it’s crazy how many scenes that saves me! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

A simple example:

• Between 6 AM and 8 PM + light off → Turn the hallway on at full brightness when I press the switch.

• The rest of the time + light off → Turn the hallway on at low brightness when I press the switch.

• If the light is on → Turn it off.

I’m going from 3 scenes to just 1! :rocket:

Gladys Assistant 4.55.2 is live, and fixes a bug reported by @Nagromdark on the scene action « HTTP Request » — the variables were no longer working!
