Gladys Assistant v4.8.10 is available: camera fix, Zigbee2mqtt and Alexa

Hello everyone !

I’m releasing Gladys Assistant v4.8.10 this morning, which includes 3 fixes :

  • Fix of a bug discovered in v4.8.9, where the list of cameras was not displayed correctly. The issue is fixed :slight_smile:
  • Fix of a bug in the Zigbee2mqtt integration, where the button to start pairing did not behave as expected ( Le sujet : Petit problème avec 'Autoriser l'Association' de modules Zibbee )
  • Improvement of the Alexa integration following feedback given this weekend by the first testers.

How to update ?

If you installed Gladys with the official Raspberry Pi OS image, your instances will update automatically in the coming hours. This can take up to 24h, don’t panic.

If you installed Gladys with Docker, check that you are using Watchtower (See the documentation )

Hello,
Could the fix for the Zigbee2mqtt integration bug resolve my problem?

Actually I haven’t made any progress since the last tests with:
- the new 3 A power supply
- the connection to a powered hub …
But I’m still interested :slight_smile:

Hello @Jluc, what is « your problem Â»?

The Zigbee2mqtt bug fix is just a fix related to the interface’s « pairing Â» button, but it is not related to any potential power issues…

My problem is still the same as the thread: Zigbee2mqtt: Error SYS - Ping after 6000ms on startup

Ok, in the end, from what I understood from this thread, this problem is a hardware issue anyway, there’s nothing we can do on the Gladys side — it’s not a software problem!

The problem is likely caused by:

  • Defective Zigbee dongle
  • Power issue on the Pi
  • SSD drawing too much power and leaving nothing for the Zigbee dongle

I invite you to go back to the thread and repost a message with the various tests you’ve been able to do. Anyway

I also tried without an SSD, just with an SD card. I have a Freebox Delta, could that work well?

Your dongle seems to be the issue, open a dedicated thread, it will be easier.

I’ve just ordered a new SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 Plus dongle
I hope it will work.
