I have exactly this module with a Zigbee USB dongle and it’s really handy to control.
A newbie question about IKEA Matter devices: do you absolutely need the Dirigera gateway, or is it compatible with the new Matterbridge integration?
So I’d say no and no.
If you want to pair a Matter device, you need a Thread hub if the device is Matter over Thread. And any Matter hub will normally do (Apple TV, Google Home, standalone SMLIGHT key, etc.).
Then you’ll just need to share that device with Matter-compatible systems like Gladys.
As for matterbridge, it’s just a bridge between non-Matter devices and Matter-compatible systems; it’s not
