I came across this article that talks about the pairing hassle on HA and a solution.
If the SLZB-MRXU allow the same thing, we could add them to the recommended devices.
No, these devices only allow the OpenThread Border Router part!
My sentences are too short to be well understood
I wanted to point out that it would be good to add the SLZB-MRXU device range to the list of recommended devices if you want to use Matter/Thread and you don’t have a Google Home and others. I also emphasize that they allow you to do Zigbee unlike GAFAM devices, which expands the possibilities.
Exactly, that’s what I’m saying, these devices don’t do the same job as an Apple TV and therefore it won’t work, I don’t recommend these devices for that!
Same here, I’ll resume when I have time, knowing that I only have one device that I bought for testing, so no big deal. But in the long run, if I spend too much time on it and the implementation in Gladys isn’t relevant, I’ll abandon the thread
Absolutely agree ![]()
I think what @ArMour85 means is that this range of devices directly integrates Bluetooth and OTBR for Thread and would allow for simpler integration of Thread devices ![]()
I understand, but for me, that’s not the case ![]()
I tested the SMLIGHT SMHUB Nano MG24, and from what I can see, it just allows you to launch an OpenThread Border Router, but it doesn’t handle Bluetooth pairing like an Apple TV does.
So it doesn’t help any more than what you’ve been able to test so far.
Oh ok I hadn’t noticed that detail in the video sorry ![]()
Plus it’ll save me from buying one to test ![]()
True ![]()
Ok, I hadn’t realized that, but in that case, it loses its appeal for me.
