Problem detecting my presence

Hello everyone. I have an issue with detecting my presence. I installed two itag devices, one for me and one for my partner. I created the presence and departure scenes with the same delays for each. It works very well for my partner, but for me it’s impossible to be marked as absent on the Dashboard. Every 2 minutes Gladys checks each person’s itag presence over the last 5 minutes. I tried several itags for myself and it doesn’t change anything. I’m starting to wonder if the fact that I’m the administrator and logged into Gladys means I’m considered present by default. Maybe I need to create a new user just for detecting my presence?

Hello, I created a new regular user — I didn’t change anything in the scenes, just the

Hi!
Sorry, but I don’t have this problem even though I’m an admin.
Detection with a badge or owntracks.
The problem must be coming from elsewhere…
We’ll need to wait for a specialist to investigate this

My bad, no need for a specialist, I just found the problem. When I created my account I entered my last name and first name without capitalization and without accents, and the user selector was written without them too. Since then I’ve fixed all that but the selector itself did not update. I ended up with first names written in different ways in my scenes. What bothers me is that apparently you can’t correct the user selector. And deleting the administrator account to recreate it correctly isn’t possible either. So I have my first name without a capital letter and without an accent everywhere "frederic). If there’s a hidden way to correct the selector, I’m interested. Thanks GBOULVIN for your feedback.

Make changes in the database, but only for users who know what they’re doing.
Otherwise, maybe create an issue on GitHub explaining your case clearly and the steps to reproduce.
Add a link to this post and maybe @pierre-gilles will have time to check and fix it.

Indeed, the selector is an internal/API-use variable that cannot be modified once created; moreover, in any case the selector will not have accents, spaces, or uppercase letters, it’s a « slug » used in the API and must be URL-compatible.

I do not recommend going into the DB to modify it, that’s the best way to end up with an invalid slug and to forget to update it everywhere it’s used (scenes in particular).

When you say « everywhere », where is that? « frederic » is a perfectly normal selector, there’s nothing to change

Good evening, I understand about the selector, but I had to remove the capital letter and the accents from my first name in my profile where you have to enter last name and first name. Before that my presence scene did not work. And so now when I log into my administrator account, at the top right I have my first name without accents and a capital letter removed and there it doesn’t seem to be the selector, it seems to be the first name from my profile. What I don’t understand is why I had to remove the accents and the capital letter from my first name for my scene to work. As you can see in the photo on my tablet, the username of my car is sandéro with an accent and there the scene works.

I don’t think there’s any link between how a scene works and the accent in your profile name ^^

Can you put the accents back in your profile, and if you encounter an error, could you share it with us here?
