The problem doesn’t necessarily come from the Aqara M100, I have in mind this post that was quite critical of the IKEA Bilresa, the conclusion of the post is literally:

Many (maybe ~half) of the BILRESA remotes are simply broken/defective upon arrival. Therefore, no troubleshooting may be able to fix failed pairings. In other words, there’s nothing wrong with your setup. Better to buy other new remotes and try those.

I encourage you to read the post; there are tips on everything you need to check to make it work. In their case, it’s with an IKEA Dirigera gateway, but in my opinion the problem is the same with other Thread routers.

Yes I tried several times to add the four Bilresa remotes via the Aqara app, it always times out with « network access failed » — see my screenshot.

However, I was able to add via the Aqara app an Alpstuga air quality sensor (which I’m going to return, because I don’t find it very practical), and a Klippbox water leak sensor.

So there is clearly a problem with the Bilresa remotes, I’ll follow the indicated post, thanks.

As for the two Kajplats bulbs, they simply don’t have the Matter sticker on the box, so I don’t know how to add them!!!

Now, I would like the devices to be seen by Gladys. So I’m trying to add them via the Matter integration, but nothing shows up…

I looked for logs but I only found this:

How are you trying to add them to Gladys?

You must not use the code on the bulb, but a « share code » that Aqara usually gives you

Yes it is controllable via Aquara (this device only reports information).

I haven’t found any feedback on the forum regarding IKEA’s Matter products. Does anyone use them and if so is it only via their gateway?

I don’t have a Dirigera Matter gateway, I’m using the Aqara M100 dongle…

I just realized I hadn’t integrated the Matter dongle into Gladys, which I just tried, but it doesn’t work either.

Yes, I know But you were asking me whether other people on the forum used IKEA Matter devices, there are quite a few posts about these devices, via other Thread hubs indeed

Regarding the Aqara M100, you’re a bit of a pioneer, I haven’t yet seen anyone use it ^^

In my opinion, you’ll need to look for feedback outside the Gladys forum for this specific case!

Sorry, I misunderstood.

On the other hand, I went grocery shopping and when I came back:

It started working!

I don’t see my devices under « Devices » but under « Settings ».

I’ll retest tonight with the bulbs and the remotes

I can help you with anything related to Gladys on the Aqara M100, however I have no experience and you’ll have to look on the Aqara forums in my opinion

I was able to set up my Aqara M100 and import it into Gladys, that’s good, and it appears under « Settings ».
I then imported a device (in this case a water leak detector) and I thought it would appear under « Devices » and not under « Settings » as shown in my screenshot.

If you already have an explanation for this

As for the rest, I’m scouring the Aqara forums, but I can’t find anything and all the IKEA devices won’t connect. I really think these devices are unfinished, and I’ll look into replacing them.

For this sensor, it’s probably that this type of sensor is not yet supported by the Matter integration in Gladys.

If you provide the JSON file by clicking the « Download Matter Nodes as JSON » button and sharing it on https://pastebin.com/ I could confirm that for you
