Unexpected restart of Gladys

Quick question @pierre-gilles for a future dev related notably to this specific issue. Is there a way to know / make the distinction on Gladys restart whether the shutdown was due to a crash?
We could then easily create a task « Gladys restart after crash » with the last 10 logs, for example?

That’s possible, yes!

Honestly, real crashes in Gladys are very, very, very rare — often the restarts are more due to external issues, even a host reboot, so I see little point in spending time on that ^^

Ok I’ll do that thanks for the info, and for your answers
Have a good day

Hello @pierre-gilles
Gladys just restarted unexpectedly.
I’m giving you the Pastebin link for the logs: pi@gladys:~ $ docker logs gladys at BroadlinkHandler.setValue (/src/server/ - Pastebin.com
Let me know if you can access my logs.
Thanks in advance

Hi @Psoy !

You’re not running the image for the correct architecture.

If you run:

docker image inspect gladysassistant/gladys:v4

I think on the « Architecture » line you’ll see the wrong architecture.

(I think you’re running 32-bit instead of 64-bit)

@ProtZ had the same issue here :

One solution: Stop Gladys, remove the image, then pull the image specifying the platform :

ah yes that’s true I remember now that with the Bluetooth problem I had, I switched to 32-bit. Since then I’m on an Rpi 4 and I haven’t changed anything. Do I need to start from scratch, is that it?
I take advantage of this post to ask, is the Beelink more powerful than an RPi4?

It depends on whether it’s just the Gladys container that’s 32-bit or if it’s your whole system

In any case, you can import your DB into your new system ^^

Yes, the Beelink is light-years ahead of a Raspberry Pi 4 ^^ especially when it comes to the disk, actually!

I downloaded the Gladys image in 32-bit from the site, but do I need to reformat my SSD to put the image back to 64-bit and then restore my database (DB) with Gladys Plus?

Since I already have a monthly Gladys Plus subscription, can I take advantage of Beelink’s offer?

Yes, that’s correct!

For the Beelink offer, yes you can take advantage of it! Are you on a monthly or annual plan currently on Gladys Plus? Because you’ll need to cancel your old subscription.

If I cancel my subscription to Gladys, will I lose my backups?
If so, how do I reinstall everything on the Beelink?

No,

As for the account, I’m fine with that,
I will order the Beelink tomorrow. My subscription ends tomorrow. When I enter my email on the order page it asks me to manage my subscription, so tomorrow it will be different, I hope.
Have a nice evening

@pierre-gilles My Pi is starting to get on my nerves, I have an annual Gladys

Ok keep me posted! I’ll take care of migrating the subscription

Very good choice haha, if you have a lot of time left I can refund you pro rata if you want

hello @pierre-gilles
I want to order, but when I enter my email address the site switches to managing my Gladys Plus account and no longer gives me access to making a purchase. I canceled my account yesterday and it ends today, but for now I’m stuck.

@Psoy I’ve just canceled the subscription on my end! Is it okay now?

Thank you, I’m ordering.

There you go, it’s done

you can transfer

thanks to you
have a good day

Thank you @Psoy, it’s been forwarded  You can use the same Gladys Plus account, so it doesn’t change anything for you.

I’ll email you all the information for the mini-PC delivery and the access to the training!

Thank you for your trust!
