[V4] Sonoff Tasmota

@pierre-gilles a slightly light document, but the use in Gladys is so simple.

I prefer to wait for your GO before proposing it.

Could you replace « Gladys » with « Gladys Assistant » everywhere? The product/brand name is really « Gladys Assistant » now  Otherwise, it’s great! Thanks for the PR!

The PR has already been merged into their dev branch! Waiting for publication.

Hello @AlexTrovato,
I just ordered some Sonoff Mini and Sonoff Dual R2, as well as the equipment to flash them.
They should arrive in about ten days.
I will try to find the time to integrate them into my home automation system.
I will keep you updated.

Cool, are we talking about HTTP? I need to update the image.

With the Sonoff flashing tutorial, that should do it

Speaking of this tutorial, could it land in the documentation? I think it belongs there even more now that we have a nice doc  Besides, this tutorial is really great!

Just for information, there are 1600+ Tasmota-compatible devices (not to mention home-made ones), and therefore approximately 1600+ ways to flash the device.

That said, we can certainly focus on the « main » ones, for now those from the Sonoff brand, but it will be difficult to be complete

For information, the new Tasmota-HTTP image is being generated with the tag v4.0.0-tasmota-http.1:

Hello,
I just received my Sonoff mini in version 3.50 and they accept both modes, eWeLink and DIY. No need to flash them. Just give them the WiFi connection info.
However, I can’t connect to them with the IP address, nor can I get them to appear in Gladys.

Are you using the Tasmota HTTP test image?

No, I saw your post, but I don’t know how to do it.

Is MQTT not needed?

At the beginning of the development of the Tasmota service via MQTT, I was often asked to manage Tasmota via HTTP, so I set up this service, but before it is integrated into official Gladys, it must be tested. Therefore, a manual installation of the Tasmota HTTP Docker image is required. Once validated, the service can be proposed for integration into Gladys.

Ok, that’s what I thought.
Ok to test.
Do I need to do in ssh: docker pull atrovato/gladys?

But I think you are the first with Sonoff Mini 3.50, I’m not sure it is already integrated into the service.
We will need to report the information, right @AlexTrovato?
And if they no longer need to be flashed, how does that work?

I flashed the firmware to 3.6 with the eWeLink app

Devices flashed with Tasmota are automatically detected by Gladys. The service does not work by device model, but by exposed features. There will be no issue adding it to Gladys, but the Tasmota firmware is a prerequisite.

How do I do that?

Yes, on this version of Sonoff, you are not required to flash them. However, if you don’t, they will not be recognized in Gladys.
I haven’t checked if it’s different for flashing.

I spent the afternoon trying to figure out how to do it because there is no slot to place a jumper. No protruding pins, no jumper provided.
There is glue holding the antenna on the back. The OTA pin hole is clogged with solder.
