Zigbee and Gladys update

Hello everyone, I use a Sonoff Zigbee dongle zbdongle-E on a Raspberry Pi 3 (rpi3). After each Gladys update I have to revalidate the dongle configuration to be able to use my devices again.
Do you have a solution to this problem?
Thanks

Hi @kenette !

Are you able to see whether your dongle’s USB port changes each time or not ?

Are you sure it’s on every Gladys update and not on every Zigbee2mqtt update ?

I didn’t pay attention to that detail. I’ll check the next time I have to set it up again.

When Gladys moved to version 4.32.0, I had to redo the configuration.

Yesterday, following a power outage, the Raspberry Pi rebooted and I had to redo the configuration of the Zigbee dongle.

Ok, so that rules out the Gladys update theory — it’s probably an issue with Zigbee2mqtt.

For info, the Sonoff E dongle (not the P) is still listed as « Experimental » on the Zigbee2mqtt side:

Maybe their FAQ can help you:

Next time you have the issue, maybe try extracting the Zigbee2mqtt logs to see if there’s anything specific?

Otherwise, you can search their community: Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt · Discussions · GitHub

Or even ask them for help

When I quickly searched, I came across reviews like this:

Apparently the E dongle isn’t completely stable for now so that would explain all this.. maybe a firmware update for the dongle is needed?

Try to fix the container’s USB port and check whether the USB port your USB stick is on is

Looking in the logs, I noticed after today’s update that zigbee2mqtt did not start at boot on the Raspberry Pi. I had disabled the « zigbee2mqtt » service in the Gladys settings.
I tried 2 reboots after enabling the service and everything works correctly.
Thank you for your help
